No Hoof No Horse - Equine Hoof Trimming Workshop on Sunday 8th August at Old Cromer School. $225. (Under 16 years or Equine Industry professionals $175). Presented by Wild About Hooves, Jeremy Ford was once a full time farrier and 18 years ago found there's a better way and with his wife Jen, they very successfully run their team barefoot in endurance riding and Australian Horse Adventure Tours in the Barossa and Tasmania. Both are lecturers for the accredited Australian Certified Equine Hoofcare Practitioners 12 month course, offering many people a career in hoofcare. This workshop is aimed at horse owners and carers. They will learn to recognise hoof issues and how to trim the hoof using landmarks as guidance. Information on diet, movement and environment will be covered. They will have the confidence to trim their own horses either full time or between trimmer visits. Tools will be available to use and purchase on the day.
