What to see….
MP Farmers’ Market
The Mount Pleasant Farmers Market Inc is a weekly food market in the Southern Barossa. Open every Saturday from 8am - 12noon, featuring a range of fresh, seasonal and affordable produce. Our community not-for-profit market provides an accessible venue where local farmers and producers are able to sell direct to the customer. Local farm produce: Fresh fruit & vegetables, dairy, meat, bread, preserves, vinegars, baked goods, eggs, honey, olive oil, wine and more. Speak to the producers and find out where their produce comes from, how they make it, and what it means to them. The Market provides the opportunity to connect with our food and understand the relationships between producer and consumer, our food and the land, concentrating on local, seasonal, sustainable and where possible, chemical free.
A great meeting place, you can meet up with friends and family and enjoy the famous fresh cooked breakfasts and organic coffee.
Open most Saturdays from 8am - 12noon at the Mount Pleasant Showgrounds.
Onsite parking available: optional gold coin donation appreciated.

Soldiers’ Memorial Hall
The Mount Pleasant Soldiers’ Memorial Hall was completed in 1927, to honour those from our district who died and served in First World War. The original entrance contains the Honour Rolls, while the Art Deco entrance was an addition in 1939. The hall has been used for many events over the years and is well used today. It was even used as a cinema up until the late 1990’s.
The hall is available for hire (see website below), and if you’re lucky and call into the hall when the History Room is open (Thursdays from 1 to 4), we’ll give you a tour and a potted history.
