Join us at the ReCreate workspace in Mt Pleasant on Friday 4th June to create your own sterling silver jewellery, using recycled seaglass.
In this silver-smithing workshop you will be going home with at least one piece of unique piece of sterling silver jewellery that you have hand crafted yourself, while upcycling reclaimed seaglass and spending a day with other creative people at the same time.
What could be more awesome?!
In the morning part of the session, silver-smith Jasmine will guide you to create your very own sterling silver ring.
Once you've mastered the skills involved in simple ring making, you will use more advanced silver-smithing techniques in the afternoon to create a bezel setting for your chosen piece of seaglass or or other cabochon. The setting can them be added to your ring or turned into a pendant before the final buff and polish.
Silversmithing techniques learnt in this session include hand piercing, forming, soldering, texturing, bezel setting, burnishing and polishing.
This all day session includes a delicious lunch and light refreshments. Please advise of any dietary requirements on completing your booking.
All materials are provided, including the sterling silver required for your project and a take-home worksheet. A selection of seaglass and other cabochons will be available for you to choose from, or bring your own special piece of treasure to set.
Please tie long hair back, wear closed shoes and bring your reading glasses if you need them.

Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event?
There is no minimum age requirement , however we will be using flames, hammers and chemicals. A certain level of coordination and patience is required.

What's the refund policy?
Cancellations within 48 hours will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 24 hours will not receive a refund.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
